
1. No swimming unless a Lifeguard is on duty.
2. Everyone must take a cleansing soap shower before entering the pool (per Winchendon Board of Health).
3. Swimmers are to wear proper bathing suits in the pool.
4. There is a 3 to 1 ratio of child to parent supervision in the pool.
5. NO RUNNING
6. Lifeguards reserve the right to administer a swim test to anyone wanting to go past four feet deep.
7. No food, glassware, gum allowed in the pool area.
8. No person with an infectious or communicable disease will be allowed in the pool (per Winchendon Board of Health).
9. Band-aids should be removed before entering the pool.
10. No person with open sores or wounds are allowed in the pool.
11. No shoes are allowed on the pool deck.
12. Swimmers are expected to be respectful and considerate of others.
13. No horseplay, i.e. pushing, dunking, throwing.
14. No jumping or diving in the shallow end of the pool.
15. Starting blocks are only for use in swim lessons or competitive swim programs.
16. No flips, spins or back dives are allowed in the pool.
17. The Clark YMCA provides equipment, toys, etc that we have deemed appropriate. Please do not bring in equipment from home.
18. All children 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult in the water (except during swim lessons).
19. All children 7-12 must have a parent present in the facility!
20. No floatation devices or "bubbles" are allowed except in the shallow end.
21. Tossing of children is not allowed.
22. There will be no visiting or unnecessary talking to lifeguards while on duty.
23. The lifeguard(s) have the final decision in all matters pertaining to pool and patron safety.
