an open sensory gym for children with autism. This 6 week program will be held on Sundays: May 4, 11, 18, June 1, 8 & 15.
There will be two age groups: 3-6 years old (11-noon pm) and 7-12 years old (noon-1 pm).
Participants must register through the Autism Resource Center. Contact Sue Loring at 508-835-4278.
SHOE DRIVE
Dig those old pairs of sneaker from the bottom of your closet and put them to
a good use! During the week of May 4, The Clark Memorial YMCA will be collecting used, clean tennis shoes
to donate to the Nike's Reuse-A-Shoe program as part of their "Let Me Play" campaign. This campaign is one of
Nike's longest-running environmental and community programs, where worn-out athletic shoes of any brand are
collected, processed and recycled into material used for sports surfaces like basketball courts, tennis courts, athletic
fields, running tracks and playgrounds for young people around the world. Let's proudly represent our community in
this world wide campaign!
MOBILE HEALTH SERVICES
In partnership with the Greater Gardner Community Health Center, the Clark YMCA
parking lot will soon be home to RV-like mobile units to offer Medical and Dental care!
This service has a focus on the uninsured and the under-insured, or folks who simply cannot
get to the needed services before they become Emergency Room related issues. Look for
related newspaper articles and other marketing materials to learn of the start dates as well as
the regular schedule of these services. The Clark YMCA is proud to offer such community
services in partnership with the Greater Gardner Community Health Center. The Greater
Gardner CHC can be reached by calling 978-410-6100.
