The Clark Memorial YMCA's first Wine Tasting & Auction was held on October 27, 2007. Despite the Red Sox play-off game and all the Halloween parties, the event was a great success and will be offered annually. This classy event gave members of Winchendon and surrounding communities a chance to get out for a night of fun and socializing, while contributing to a worthy cause. Businesses and community members generously contributed to this event through donations, time and resources. It is great to know how much people care and how much they are willing to help. Heidi and Andrew Graff, Clark members, not only donated all the wine for the night, but who also agreed to donate a huge portion of the proceeds from wine orders taken at the event. Clark members Tracy Pelkey and Lauren Shelly were vital volunteers, putting in many hours of planning over the course of the last several weeks to make it all come together. Jim Piccini and Gioia Patterson helped convert the gym to a beautiful event room and also worked alongside many other volunteers during the event. Bob Betourney did an excellent job as our Auctioneer with the help of our very own Yoga instructor Lori Gebo. Clark staff members were able to combine work with pleasure while having a chance to get to know members of the community a little better.

A big thank you goes out to all of the volunteers and donors that made this event possible. The proceeds from the Wine Tasting and Auction Fundraiser will benefit the programs and services of the Clark Memorial YMCA.
