YMCA Gymnastics Team
WINTER 2009 SCHEDULE
If your child has not been a part of the Clark Memorial YMCA Gymnastics program, it is
recommended that you have your child tested for placement.
Gym Explorers (walking to age 3)
Members: $30 / Non-Members: $60
TU: 9:15-9:45 am; SAT: 9-9:30 am
This parent/child class begins and ends with a group activity. In
between, children explore different stations and activities with
their parent, while coaches offer encouragement and praise.
Toddler Time (ages 2 and up)
Members: $30 / Non-Members: $60
W: 9:15-9:45; TH: 9:15-9:45 am; SAT: 9:45-10:15 am OR 10:30-11 am
Children warm up together and then divide into small groups to
work on basic gymnastics skills. Basic skills include forward
rolls, cartwheels, walks on low beam, vault jumps, and a variety
of bar hangs and swings.
Mighty Munchkins (ages 3 and up)
Members: $55 / Non-Members: $105
TU: 3:45-4:25; W: 10:00-10:40 am; TH: 10:00-10:40 am
Mighty Munchkins is a continuation of fun gymnastics exercises
and activities that will build confidence, coordination and social
awareness. New skills include backward rolls, levers on floor,
walks on high beam, pull-overs on bars, and a squat-on vault.
Jumpin' Jacks (ages 4-5)
Members: $65 / Non-Members: $115
TU: 10-10:50 am OR TH: 4-4:50 pm OR SAT: 10:45-11:35 am
Jumpin’ Jacks builds on the activities offered in Mighty
Munchkins, while incorporating new stations and skill-building
activities into the lessons.
Dyna-Mites (Invitation Only)
Members: $65 / Non-Members: $115
F: 4-5 pm
Dyna-Mites is for pre-school kids who are ready for a little extra
challenge. More attention is given to form and technique, as well
as strength and flexibility development. Please speak to Missy if
you are interested in this class.

Rockin' Rollers (ages 5-6)
Members: $70 / Non-Members: $120
M: 3:45-4:45 pm; TU: 4-5 pm
Gymnasts work on learning and mastering
Floor (cartwheels, forward rolls, and backward rolls), Beam (directional walks and proper mounts for low and high beams),
Uneven Bars (pull-over, casts, and back hip circles), and Vault (proper jumps and squat-ons).
Super Springers (ages 7-9)
Members: $70 / Non-Members: $120
TU: 5-6 pm
Gymnasts work on learning and mastering
Floor (cartwheels, round-offs, and back bends), Beam (leg kicks, candlesticks, and scale holds on low and high
beams), Uneven Bars (back hip circles, sole circles, forward roll dismounts), and Vault (squat-ons and dive rolls onto a mat stack).
Fantastic Flyers (ages 10-12)
Members: $70 / Non-Members: $120
TH: 5-6 pm
Gymnasts work on learning and mastering
Floor (round-offs, back handsprings, front walkovers), Beam (candlesticks and forward rolls on low and high beams), Uneven Bars (back hip circles, sole circles, and forward roll dismounts) and Vault (squat-ons and dive rolls onto a mat stack).
Recreational Team
Members: $36 per month
W OR F: 4:15-6:45 pm
This program is for gymnasts who have mastered the skills in
required in advanced recreational gymnastics and would like
to continue learning new skills in a non-competitive format.

Fun gymnastics exercises and activities that will build confidence, coordination and social
awareness.
Boys Advanced (ages 5 and up)
Members: $65 / Non-Members: $115
TU: 4:45-5:35 pm
This is a continuation of the boys beginner class. Here the boys
will continue to learn and master skills on the boys apparatus.

Beginner - TU: 6-7 pm
Advanced - TH: 6-7 pm (Permission required)
This program focuses on floor work. Beginners will learn rolls
and cartwheels before progressing to more advanced tumbling
sequences.
Members: $70 / Non-Members: $120
TU: 6-7 pm; SAT: 11:15 am-12:15 pm
This class focuses on the tumbling sequences which are primarily
used in cheerleading. Skills taught in the class include round-offs,
back hand springs, and back tucks.

The Gymnastics Team is a program for serious athletes who are
ready to put in several hours of time and effort each week. Gymnasts
train and learn routines on all four pieces of Women's Apparatus:
Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, and Floor Exercise.
Emphasis is placed on consistency and mental focus as students
continue to have fun learning gymnastics and building lasting
relationships with coaches and teammates. Please speak to Shawn
Fournier, Gymnastics Director, for more info.
Level 1 - F: 5-6:30 pm, $22.50 / month
Level 2 - M: 4:45-6:15 pm & TH: 4-5:30 pm, $45 / month
Level 3 - W & F: 4:15-6:45 pm, $85 / month
Level 4 (pick 2): M, W & F: 4-7 pm, $102 / month
Level 5 - M, W & F: 4:15-6:45 pm, $102 / month
