CHECK IN
Everyone entering the facility must check
in at the main desk. All members are required to have a
membership card. It is the member's responsibility to have
their card in their possession. Members must scan their
card at the front desk EVERY time they enter the facility.
If for some reason a member has misplaced their card, please let the front desk staff know so that we can check you in for
that day. A $2 fee will be charged to provide replacement card.

REFUND POLICY
If you are not completely satisfied with your
membership (annual or EFT option) in the first 30 days, we will
refund your money. Memberships are non-transferrable and
non-refundable after 30 days. Exceptions may be made for those
with a physician-diagnosed medical condition. 100% of a program
fee may be refunded upon the program cancellation. Withdrawal
from a program prior to the first class will receive 100% refund
less $10 administration fee. 50% of a program fee may be
refunded before the second class of the session, less the $10
administration fee. No refunds thereafter. A different refund policy
applies to camp programs.

BAD WEATHER POLICY
For information regarding the operation
of our facility during inclement weather, please tune into the Eagle
99.9 FM or WGAW 1340 AM. It is difficult to guarantee that this
information will be available prior to our usual opening time of 5
am weekdays. Staff members live close enough that the facility is
accessible most of the time. We encourage folks to use extreme
caution when traveling in adverse weather conditions and request
that you call before leaving your home. If we are closed, we will
change our voice mail greeting to reflect this closing and estimate
an anticipated time for re-opening. If there is no school for
Winchendon Public Schools, all morning classes at the Clark
will be cancelled. Please call to inquire about afternoon and
evening programs.

PRE-SCHOOL CHANGING/BATHROOM
Children ages 5 and under may change in or use Men's or Women's
facilities with proper adult supervision (i.e., Mom with son
in Women's locker room, Dad with daughter in Men's).
Children ages 6+ should use gender specific facilities. As
always, members and guests are asked to be discrete and
considerate of others.

EQUIPMENT SIGN-OUT POLICY
Members are allowed to sign-out equipment (basketballs, tennis rackets,
boxing gloves, etc.) at the front desk by leaving their
membership card. This will enable us to track missing or
broken equipment and charge a repair/replacement fee, if
necessary. Cards will be returned upon the return of signed-out
equipment.

COAT RACKS
Members and guests are welcome to use
the various coat racks (lobby and Cardiovascular Room) for
coats, however, gym bags and/or other items must be placed
in lockers. This limits tripping hazards and reduces the
opportunity for theft. The Clark Memorial YMCA is
not responsible for lost or stolen items.

LOCKER RENTAL
A limited number of lockers are available for
rent on an annual basis. The fee is only $35 a year.

DAY USE LOCKERS
Day Use lockers are also available and
we strongly encourage members and guests to bring a lock to
secure belongings. Please note that Day Use lockers are for use
during the time a member or guest is using the facility only, and
locks must be removed after each use.

LOCKER POLICY
The Clark Memorial YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items and reserves the right to
remove a lock for reasons that may include, but are not limited to:
- A lock is left on the locker overnight for Day Use lockers.
- A lock is left on the locker beyond the locker rental expiration date.
- The conditions of the locker warrant removal (odor, etc.).
- The privileges of membership have been abused.
In the event that a lock is removed, items from the locker will
be held in a plastic bag for a period of one week.

LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS
The Clark Memorial Community
Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please secure
items with lock for locker (see locker policy) or leave them in
vehicle or at home. Please report any lost or stolen items to
the Membership Desk and we encourage pursuing a police
report, as well. We recommend labeling clothing, towels and
other belongings. Lost & Found Items are donated to a local
charitable organization at the end of each month.

CLASS/PROGRAM CANCELLATIONS
In the event the Clark
has to cancel a class for any reason, we will make every effort
to reschedule the class. If it cannot be rescheduled, a refund
proportionate to the class fee may be issued. Please note that this
does NOT include cancellations of classes that are included
with membership or situations beyond our control, such as
those due to inclement weather or other acts of nature. If a
member/participant misses a class as scheduled or rescheduled,
this will not be refunded or rescheduled again. Other than fitness
classes, the member/participant may not attend any other class as
a "make-up." The Clark is required to maintain certain staff to
participant ratios and simply cannot offer this make-up opportunity
without jeopardizing the safety and quality of the program.

YOUNG ADULT PARTICIPATION POLICY
Children under
12 years old are prohibited from using the cardio, weight and
cybex room or participating in adult fitness classes. Children 12-14 years old are allowed to use the
cybex and cardio room and
participate in adult fitness classes if:
1) They have completed
orientation with a certified staff member with a parent present, and
2) They are accompanied (in the same room) by a parent for the
duration of their class or work-out.
Children 12-14 years old are
prohibited from using the weight room.

EMERGENCY SERVICES
In the event of an emergency, the
Clark Memorial YMCA will be open to serve the
community. However, in the event of a power outage, this
arrangement may be delayed until power is restored as the Clark
does not have a back up generator. The need for emergency
services will be identified by the Town of Winchendon or the
American Red Cross. Services may include, but are not limited
to:
- Warm overnight shelter during cold winter conditions (Board of
Health to coordinate)
- Air conditioned environment during extraordinarily hot, humid
summer days
- Warm showers when homes are without power (after power is
restored at the Clark)
- Disaster related incident (American Red Cross to coordinate)
Please contact the Clark Memorial YMCA to inquire
about, or initiate, related emergencies services. After hour
inquiries are directed to the residence of the Executive Director.
